EAPHM webinar - ASF past and present
EAPHM held a webinar with Vittorio Guberti presenting on what we have learnt in the past 10 years about ASF and Andrea Palzer presenting on the current situation in Germany. The pressing nature of the situation and difficulties in controlling ASF across Europe were highlighted. In Germany the restrictions in place on transport mean hundreds of thousands of pigs are delayed waiting to travel to slaughter. The speakers called for a co-ordinated approach on a European level for the sake of the pork market and of animal welfare. The webinar ended with questions from the audience leading to a lively and interactive Q&A session.
The EAPHM Board was congratulated with the selection of the excellent speakers and with the smooth organization of this interesting webinar.
