EAPHM Newsflash November 24th, 2020 - European Commission declares Belgium 'free from ASF'

The European Commission has declared Belgium formally free from African Swine Fever (ASF). This means that the country will regain its free from ASF status.

The Belgian Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain (FASFC) stated that all restrictions shall be lifted, so Belgium will no longer be included in Europe’s maps of countries affected by ASFASF emerged in 2018 in wild boar in the southern province of Luxembourg, which is situated next to the Luxembourg country.
