Open Debate on interprofessional education and training: Promoting One Health in the professional practice

Open Debate on interprofessional education and training

The European organisations representing doctors, dentists, veterinarians and pharmacists and their students’ organisations are pleased to invite you to a virtual debate to discuss their life-long learning and in particular about the implementation of One Health interprofessional education and training

The programme of the event, which envisage bringing together practitioners, policymakers, regulators, training providers, academia and students from all European countries, is now available.
A panel of experts together with the participants joining the event will reflect on the value of One Health interprofessional training in enhancing health-crisis preparedness and management by sharing experiences from human healthcare and veterinary practice.

The discussion will be linked to the ongoing discussions on the European Health Union Package for the prevention, preparedness and control of serious cross-border threats to health in the EU, such as pandemics and antimicrobial resistance.

At this event, the member of the FVE Team in Brussels, Despoina Iatridou, will present the results of a European survey on the implementation of One Health interdisciplinary education by veterinary education establishments.
The article One Health Interdisciplinary Collaboration in Veterinary Education Establishments in Europe: mapping Implementation and reflecting on promotion is now publicly available by the Journal of Veterinary Medical Education and provides insights about the topic for further reflection.
