On 14 March 2019 the EU Commission has issued a study identifying best practices used in production and across the supply chain in relation to the raising and slaughter of entire males or pigs vaccinated against boar taint, and the processing and marketing of meat from such animal
As announced before, in the coming period the EAPHM website access will be made accessible for members that have paid the 2019 annual EAPHM membership fee. The FVE/UEVP Animal Welfare Working Group will meet again on Tuesday 19 March 2019. On the agenda again some pig related topics. 
The EAPHM was invited to attend the second meeting of the sub-group of the EU Platform on Animal Welfare. The EAPHM will occupy the chair of the Pig Experts. Through this newsletter you will be kept informed on the outcome of this meeting.
